FAQ

What are your qualifications?
I am a Certified Animal Massage Therapist through the Ojai School of Canine Massage, and am CPR and First Aid certified through American Red Cross.

What massage modalities do you use?
Swedish Massage, Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Tui-Na, TTouch, and Stretch are modalities and bodywork used. Read more here.

Do I need to ask my vet if massage is right for my dog?
We absolutely recommend discussing the benefits of, and contraindications for, all types of massage with your veterinarian.

Do you have a holistic vet, acupuncturist, or nutritionist you can recommend me to?
Yes, and thank you for asking! Please contact me here

Do you do house calls?
I sure do, and I will tell you why. I find that the massage is more effective when the dog is at his or her most comfortable in her home, on their bed, with the owner present, at least for the first session.

How many sessions will my dog need?
That varies, depending on your objectives for your dog and the tolerance and cooperation of you and the dog. Fortunately, results can usually be seen after the first session. During the initial consultation, we will discuss the best course of treatment under all the circumstances.

Do you teach classes?
Education is the cornerstone of my mission as a dog rescuer and massage therapist. Check out the events calendar here, or use the Contact page to book an affordable class for a small group.
