Senior dogs make up a majority of the shelter population. They are often overlooked because of their age, health, or white "sugar face," but have the ability to impact our lives tremendously. We owe it to ourselves to benefit from their love and companionship, and we owe it to them to take care of them.

In 2016, we met our 11-year-old dog, Sampson. He accompanied us on many rescue missions, helped us socialize some of the foster dogs that passed through our home, volunteered as a therapy dog for at-risk youth with the Hilaroo Foundation, and served as an ambassador for homeless senior dogs. Despite doing so much, he always watned to do more. Sampson inspired me to enroll at the intensive canine massage program at Ojai School of Canine Massage.

My mission is to optimize the quality of life of every dog that comes into my care, whether it be for a half hour session or a lifetime.

Speaking of lifetimes, I believe we can extend the life expectancy of our best friends when we invest in their quality of life, regardless of their age or condition. I hope that through teaching you ways you can incorporate massage into your dog’s daily routine, you can be inspired to teach others the holistic benefits of dog massage. Together, we can reach every dog.
